Kathy Detzer

     Kathy has enjoyed all aspects of art and creativity since childhood. She studied Graphic Design at UC Davis and subsequently worked as a designer and illustrator for many years. She discovered painting with pastels after attending an art show and was moved by the radiance of the pastel medium. Since then, she has worked to represent the extraordinary beauty of the Northeast, the graceful lines of a still life or the distinctive gesture of a figure, inspired simply by color, form and light.
